15-year-old Worthing girl sexually assaulted

 

Police are investigating an incident outside the H&M clothes shop in Western Road, Brighton, in which a 15-year-old Worthing girl was sexually assaulted.

The incident occurred at about 3.30 pm on Saturday May 16th, when the victim and her companion, another girl aged 15, were walking along Western Road towards Churchill Square.

A man described as Asian, in his 30s, 5’7″ to 5′ 8″, and of chubby build, approached the girl from behind, grabbed her bottom and made an obscene remark.

He was said to have spoken with an Indian or Pakistani accent.

PC Daniel Marshall, of the Worthing Response Investigation Team, said: “The victim has been left very shaken and upset by this incident and is worried it could have happened to others.”
