Worthing Council for Voluntary Service (WCVS) is changing its name to Voluntary Action Worthing and will soon move into a new home. They are also recruiting for a new Chairperson to lead their Board of Directors.
The WCVS is a small charity established in 1993 and one of 300 CVS’ across the Country affiliated to the National Association of Councils for Voluntary Action.
The charity seeks a new Chairperson to help steer their strategic direction and help focus their resources for maximum efficiency. A new agreement with their core funders follows from a period when they have been through both expansion and contraction. They now want to appraise, develop and seize opportunities and move forward in ways that will enable them to deliver their support to voluntary groups effectively.
The aim is to elect the new Chairperson at their AGM in November and to take up office in early 2014.. The role is voluntary.
