Andy Lutwyche on Worthing Cricket Club – 4th XI

Our cricketing correspondent Andy Lutwyche comments on Worthing Cricket Club:

4th XI v Chichester Priory 4th XI (Home):

Skipper Adam Bastable stuck the visitors in having won the toss but a mixture of some sloppy fielding and powerful hitting saw Chichester pile up 230 all out from their 40 overs.  Dan Stuart took 3 for 27 and James Belton 3 for 28 did most of the damage, with Greg Harris, Jack Westlake and Adam Squires all opening their wicket accounts for the season.

A great effort from Worthing to chase down the total saw them finish on 227 for 9 with Glenn Harris (73), Marc Hinton (58) and Neil Harris (23) the main contributors in what all agreed was a great game played in a good spirit.
