Due to the bike marking events in Worthing being so popular there is another one this week at the clock tower in Worthing town centre on May 2nd between 11 am and 3 pm as part of Operation Velo.
Operation Velo launched at the beginning of the year is trying to reduce the number of bicycles stolen from across the county.
The scheme uses a new way of marking and registering bikes, and Sussex Police has been hosting free events at locations where officers have been marking, registering and offering advice about the best way to secure cycles.
PC Tim Jose, who works on the initiative, said: “Our marking events are going from strength to strength with bike marking events already showing significant results across the areas where the initiative has been run. Recent marking events in the town centre were very well received and over 80 bikes were marked in all.
“Cyclists will be able to come along to the event and speak to the team about registering their bicycle and to get advice about different types of locks.”
