Armed robbery at Goring Ladbrokes

 

An armed robbery took place at Ladbrokes Betting Shop in Goring on Saturday October 12th. Police are appealing for witnesses.

A man went into the shop in Limbrick Lane at 6.55 pm and threatened a member of staff with a knife before stealing a quantity of cash. No one was injured and the man ran off.

He is described as white and wearing dark clothing.

Detective Sergeant Chris Leech said: “Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously near to the betting shop or who witnessed the incident. If anyone saw a vehicle close by then we will also be interested in hearing from you.”

A 26-year-old man from Littlehampton was arrested on Sunday October 13th on suspicion of robbery and remains in custody for questioning.
