Be part of Big Tree Plant in Worthing

Take part in the 2013 Big Tree Plant in Worthing on Saturday November 16th at Maybridge Keystone Centre.

The Big Tree Plant in Worthing is an exciting plan to make your town a greener and leafier place to live by planting 4,500 trees all across Worthing.  The tree plant is led by volunteers from Cortis Avenue Wildlife Garden in partnership with Worthing Homes Limited. Each of the 4,500 trees have been bought with funds raised by local people.

Everyone is welcome to help plant new trees and hedgerow, visit and see the planting activities.  There will be approximately 250 whips (40-60cm trees) to plant. MKC Community Cafe will be open serving hot drinks and snacks.

The event is sponsored by Waitrose Limited.

On the day before (Friday November 15th) several local schools will help plant 480 ‘wild harvest’ whips.  This is not a public event but adult volunteers are welcome.  Please pre-register for this event by e-mail: cortiswildlife@gmail.com.

Maybridge Keystone Centre is in Raleigh Way, Durrington
