‘Billy Elliot The Musical Live ’ at Connaught & Dome

Billy Elliot The Musical is being shown live from London’s West End at both the Connaught Theatre and the Dome Cinema at 2.00 pm.  The Connaught Theatre shows a recording at 7.00 pm.

This special performance brings multi award-winning Billy Elliot the Musical to cinemas for the first time.

Based on the Academy Award nominated film first released in 2000, Billy Elliot the Musical has won the hearts of millions since it opened in London’s West End and has gone on to captivate audiences around the world, winning over 80 theatre awards along the way including Tony Awards and 5 Olivier Awards.

Set in a northern mining town, against the background of the 1984/’85 miners’ strike, Billy’s journey takes him out of the boxing ring and into a ballet class where he discovers a passion for dance that inspires his family and whole community and changes his life forever.

The original creative team behind the film, including writer Lee Hall (book & lyrics), director Stephen Daldry, and choreographer, Peter Darling, is joined by music legend Elton John (music) to produce a funny, uplifting and spectacular theatrical experience that will stay with you forever.

The Connaught Theatre is at 3 Union Place, Worthing and the Dome Cinema is at 21-22 Marine Parade on Worthing seafront.
