Build football playing robots at Heene Community Centre

Curiosity Hub invites children to build football playing robots on Friday May 30th at the Heene Community Centre, Worthing.

Join Curiosity Hub this May half term for two creative, fun and educational workshops.

Firstly from 9.00am to 12.00 noon for ages 6 to 9:  Sporty Robots with Lego WeDo Robotics Workshop  In this workshop, you will be building and learning to program football playing robots. Students will work in pairs to assemble robots  using Lego Education WeDo robotics kits and use the visual drag-and-drop  software to instruct the robots to kick the ball, count goals, misses  and blocks and create cheering fans. You will also learn about the  mechanics of motors, gears, levers and pulleys in this sporty workshop.

Secondly from 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm for ages 10 to 14: Explore Ancient Worlds with Lego Mindstorms Workshop
Can you escape the labyrinth? Retrieve the papyrus scroll? Explore Ancient Worlds with Lego Mindstorms EV3 robots.  Students become archaeo-engineers and work in pairs to build a rover robot and learn how  to use the drag-and-drop Mindstorms interface to program it to complete  themed challenges. Students will also explore the interaction between programming, sensors and robot mechanics in this creative workshop.

Earlybird and Multi-booking/Sibling are discounts available.  Visit the Curiosity Hub website for more details, pricing and information on how to sign up:
