Busy day for Worthing Fire Station

 

West Sussex Fire & Rescue officers from Worthing Fire Station attended four incidents yesterday (Tuesday July 16th).

Firstly three sheds in rear gardens of houses in Adur Avenue, Durrington were severely damaged by fire around lunchtime.  Fencing and a pagoda were also damaged by the fire in a fourth garden.  Officers attended between 1.20 pm and 1.55 pm.  The fire was accidental.

Half an hour later officers attended a small fire on a road side verge in Titnore Lane between 2.29 pm and 2.51 pm.

In the evening there was a kit car on fire in a car park in Gordon Road, Worthing.  Officers attended between 9.15 pm and 9.29 pm.  Again the fire was accidental.

Lastly officers attended a small fire between 10.31 pm and 10.54 pm involving rubbish in woods off Hill Barn Lane in Broadwater.  The fire was located and extinguished using a back pack sprayer.
