Car port arson in Upper Brighton Road

 

Police are appealing for witnesses to a house and garage fire which broke out on the A27, Upper Brighton Road, in Worthing yesterday (Wednesday April 22nd). 

The fire started around 10.20 am in a car port, which spread to the roof, causing damage to the car port, doors, windows and brickwork of the next door property. Fire investigators have assessed the fire was started deliberately.

PC Scott Walters said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the area of the Charmandean Centre around 10am on Wednesday morning and might have seen anything suspicious is asked to get in touch. Thankfully no-one was injured, but we need to talk to anyone who can help with our enquiries. Please contact us on: 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 366 of 22/04.
