How care at Worthing Hospital will improve over the next five years is just one of the subjects for discussion at the next Council of Governors meeting of Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The meeting will be held in public in The Devonshire Room, Chatsworth Hotel, 17-23 The Steyne, Worthing from 9.30 am to 11.30 am on Thursday July 17th.
The meeting includes discussion of the Trust’s Strategic Plan 2014-19, which looks at improving quality through seven-day working, reshaping cancer services, and developing Southlands as an ambulatory care centre.
The Governors, whose role is to hold the non-executive directors of the Trust Board to account, also discusses the Chief Executive’s performance report, an external auditors’ report on the annual accounts, and customer care in the outpatient environment.
Lead Governor Margaret Bamford said: “We welcome members of the public attending our meetings and learning more about how their hospitals are managed.
“As a Foundation Trust we are accountable to our members, as well as the public we serve, and we are keen to engage with people about how we improve further and develop our acute health services.”
