Ofsted found the quality and standards of the early years provision at the Cbabiesafe nursery at 12 Manor Road, Worthing ‘good’ in their first inspection.
The overall rating was good (2) as were each of the categories:
(a) How well the early years provision meets the need of the range of children who attend
(b) The contribution of the early years provision to the well-being of children
(c) The effectiveness of the leadership and management of the early years provision
The staff at Cbabiesafe have an inclusive and positive approach, and through their own enthusiasm, encourage children to take part in activities. They provide very flexible arrangements to meet individual family needs, and parents feel supported and have established good relationships with the staff.
Children are confident, motivated and enthusiastic learners because of the varied resources staff provide and the individual support they receive during their play.
To become ‘outstanding’ Cbabiesafe needs to strengthen systems for establishing information about individual children’s starting points to support their learning and development. Also Cbabiesafe needs to review the deployment of staff to enable them to provide clear guidance for some children about what is acceptable behaviour.
The inspection took place on May 12th.
