Celeb chef Jean-Christophe Novelli at Adur & Worthing Food Festival

5AA Rosette French chef and TV personality Jean-Christophe Novelli is headlining the Adur and Worthing Food Festival running from July 5th to 14th.

Worthing’s town centre manager Sharon Clarke said:  “Bringing Jean-Christophe to the Worthing part of the fest. is a real coup. We wanted to bring a big name to the festival and luckily Jean-Christophe accepted our invitation. We know he will be a really big draw to the event and we are really looking forward to welcoming him to our giant marquee on Sunday 7th July from 12pm to 2:15pm to learn a cooking tip or two!”

Jean-Christophe began his exciting career at the tender age of fourteen as a baker in his home town of Arras, Northern France, before becoming the private Head Chef to Elie de Rothschild at the age of 19.

Jean-Christophe’s life changed completely when he arrived in Great Britain in 1983. He spent a year taking care of Keith Floyd’s pub, ‘The Maltsters’, as Head Chef, whilst Keith was filming his famous TV shows.  In 1996, Jean-Christophe,opened four restaurants in London, and  began the foundations for his internationally based mini empire. What is so surprising is that he only had £500 in his pocket to start this solo venture.

The Adur & Worthing Food and Drink Festival is the second one and hopes to rival the first! It aims to take everyone on a culinary tour of the area, whetting taste buds and appetites along the way with temptations courtesy of local produce suppliers.
