Celebrate Sussex Day in style – update

Littlehampton Steel Band are not performing now at the Sussex Day event on Sunday June 15th and the organisers have made some changes.

All the stalls and all the entertainment will now take place in Montague Street and Montague Place from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.

There is a local produce market, a charity, craft and community groups market, street food and real ale beer tent from 11.00 am (it is Fathers Day).

Live music kicks off at 11.00 am with Thomas a Becket First School Choir, Worthing’s very own singer Jenna Hall, music from Northbrook College students  and Spring into Soul Gospel Choir around 3.00 pm.

There will be a children’s fairground ride and popular children’s entertainer Jo Jingles.  Award winning Glendale Theatre Arts Dance School will also be performing.

Worthing’s new Mayor Vic Walker will be there as will the new Town Crier – recent Mayor Bob Smytherman.

Organiser Colm Sweet advises there are still a few stall places available for charities, community groups and crafters at £10.00 per pitch.    Please e-mail contact@worthingdaily.co.uk if you are interested and we will put you in touch.
