Chamber celebrates mentoring success

Worthing  & Adur Chamber of Commerce celebrates the success of their mentoring programme at Worthing Town Football Club at 5.00 pm on Wednesday March 5th.

The Chamber works with the Let’s Do Business Group to mentor Start Up Businesses from the New Enterprise Allowance  Scheme. To date the Chamber has helped over 40 Start Up Businesses with a pool of 15 Mentors to support them.

Join them to hear from some successful start ups and some of their volunteer mentors. They need more mentors to continue with their success.

When asked what the value of being a mentor is, Peter Webb of Electronic Temperature Instruments said: “I have found the benefits of being a mentor numerous, the satisfaction in knowing that you are helping someone to achieve their professional goals, or start their own business has given me personally a great deal of satisfaction.

“ In addition, it has also been an opportunity for me to give back something to the local business community.  It has also presented me with the opportunity to meet, and work with a number of like-minded local business people, as well as gaining an insight in to a diverse number of other professions.”

Light refreshments will be served. There will be plenty of time for Networking.

The event is free – to book visit: www.worthingandadurchamber.
