A Chorus Line (PG) is showing at the Connaught Studio, Worthing as part of the ‘MADE IN 1985’ season at 1.30 pm on Sunday June 21st.
At the time, A Chorus Line was seen as an antidote to the musicals being released and showed the darker, more competitive side to the theatre industry. Right in the middle of an amazing streak by director Richard Attenborough (Ghandi, Cry Freedom etc). The film pits its actors and actresses against each other and sits back to see who wins. Fantastic songs and choreography – a singular sensation!
The ‘MADE IN 1985’ season is a 30th Anniversary celebration of the best films of 1985. The season was only made possible by the sponsorship of the BFI and the Film Hub Southeast.
The Connaught Studio is at 3 Union Place, Worthing.
