CircusSeen offers a six week course on the art of Poi on Thursdays in January and February.
Circus Seen said: “Do you want to get fit and try something new and fun?
“It can be tricky at first, knowing where to put your hands, trying not to get hit by poi but experienced teachers Nick Cook and Kate Wright will guide you through from beginners moves like cross over and butterfly angel bird to intermediate moves such as 5 beat forward and backward weave and lock-outs
“For Kate and Nick, Poi has a much deeper level of understanding. Poi is not just utilizing both sides of your brain and body and making it work. It is teaching the art of understanding the mind and how we can block ourselves with negative habits and patterns.
“These classes are for light minded people or person, who has a desire to change the way they think and feel about life and to discover the natural flow that lives within us.
“Part of the course requirement is that you practice, so your muscles remember the moves you learn and so can advance further in the art.”
There are only eight places available.
Classes are held from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm at the Sidney Walter Centre, Sussex Road, Worthing.
Workshop dates: January 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th and February 5th and 12th.
