The Waves Ahead Strategic Partnership holds their Annual Conference on Thursday November 6th at Worthing College, Worthing.
This is an Adur and Worthing collaboration of partners from the statutory, voluntary and private sectors, working together on some key local issues. It includes Worthing Voluntary Action, Adur Voluntary Action, the Councils (Adur and Worthing and West Sussex), West Sussex Fire and Rescue, Sussex Police, Worthing and Northbrook Colleges, the NHS and Public Health, the Adur and Worthing Business Partnership and many other groups.
The Waves Ahead Strategic Partnership believes Adur and Worthing are going places. They are seeing a welcome momentum across the area and people are stepping up to actively lead important issues in our communities. To take full advantage of the opportunities, connectivity, creativity and innovation are critical across all sectors. We all have a role in developing and nurturing ideas, momentum and energy; acting as connectors to promote shared ownership and develop the innovation needed to tackle our ‘wicked issues’.
This Waves Ahead event has the aim of bringing together a range of people (communities, voluntary sector, businesses and statutory organisations) to see what is in place and shape ideas on how we can become more entrepreneurial in our community and business sectors. By this we mean being more adaptive, aspirational and more enterprising in our thinking (with social and economic benefits) in ways that discover and nurture talent within our communities.
At the heart of this is being better connected.
The partnership hopes you are as excited as they are about Adur and Worthing’s future. They ask you to come with open minds and a desire to contribute and network.
Attendance is free of charge, however places are limited so booking is required. Dinner and refreshments will be provided in the wonderful new facilities of Worthing College, please specify when you book if you have any special dietary requirements.
The Annual Conference is from 5.00 pm to 9.00 pm at Worthing College, 1 Sanditon Way, Worthing.
