Police today appealed for witnesses to an incident in which a cyclist suffered a serious head injury.
The 60-year-old was cycling in Goring Street, Worthing, close to the junction with Goring Way when he mounted the kerb trying to avoid a black Mercedes.
He missed the car but fell from his bike, shortly after 12.30pm on Monday July 22nd.
The cyclist, from Worthing, was taken to Worthing Hospital suffering from a cut to his head, a bruised shoulder and fractured ribs.
