Did you see pedestrian hit on A24?

Police are appealing for witnesses after a Worthing man was hit by a car on the A24 in Worthing.

The 20-year-old was struck by a red Seat on a pelican crossing at the junction with Hillview Rise, almost opposite the public toilets.

He suffered a fractured ankle in the collision, shortly after 3.00 pm on Wednesday December 18th. The driver was not injured.

PC Trevor Johnson said: “I am trying to trace anyone who saw the collision.

“The A24 would have been very busy at that time of day because it is near Vale School and many parents would have been in the area to collect their children.

“If you saw anything at all please contact us.”

Anyone with information should call 101 quoting serial 875 of December 18th or email: collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk.
