Community coffee chain Esquires Coffee Houses opened its 31st store at 25 South Street, Worthing on November 12th creating 12 new jobs and unveiling a new brand image in the process.
The new 150 square metre coffee house offers free Wi-Fi, in store TV, a 20% student discount, comfortable seating and an extensive menu of hot and cold food and drinks.
Worthing is the first location in Esquires Coffee’s UK network to benefit from the brand’s new look and feel. The overhaul, which promises to create an even warmer and more welcoming in store environment, follows the recent acquisition of the franchise by Cooks Global Foods Ltd; a purchase that promises to provide a range of exciting opportunities for Esquires Coffee Houses in the future.
Offering conscientious consumers over 50 Fairtrade products to choose from, Esquires Coffee Houses’ Worthing branch is owned by local businessmen Richard Neal and Anthony Bevington. The entrepreneurial pair, who met through their local gym, decided to bring together their wealth of business experience and a passion for the vibrant café culture earlier this year.
Speaking about their joint venture, Richard said: “Anthony and I have been looking for the right opportunity to go into business together for some time and when we came across the Esquires Coffee Houses franchise we knew it was the right choice. The brand is forward thinking, personable and it offers one of the best tasting menus on the market. After that, all we had to do was pick the perfect location and so when the opening on South Street came up our plan finally came together!
“We’re delighted to be bringing the new Esquires Coffee Houses branding to Worthing and we look forward to adding our own personal twist to the cosy retreat we’ve created. Worthing is a busy and vibrant area with lots of commuters, students and shoppers passing by. Everyone has been so welcoming and we can’t wait to get to know some of the local characters who have been popping by to ask about the store.”
As well as offering one of the widest ranges of Fairtrade options (as standard) on the high street, Esquires Coffee Houses also supports organisations such as One Water and Coffee Kids on an on-going basis.
