Far from the Madding Crowd (12A) is the Silver Screen showing at the Connaught Cinema, Worthing on Monday May 11th. Tea and coffee are served at 10.30 am with the film starting at 11.00 am.

Adaptation of the classic novel by Thomas Hardy. The story of independent, beautiful and headstrong Bathsheba Everdene (Carrey Mulligan) who attracts three very different suitors: Gabriel Oak, a sheep farmer; Frank Troy, a handsome and reckless Sergeant and William Boldwood, a prosperous and mature bachelor. A fantastic cast and amazing cinematography. Director Thomas Vinterberg (Festen, The Hunt) has crafted a film that will stand up through the ages.

Running time: 119 minutes.
