Worthing Library will be hosting a Dementia Awareness Day on Monday June 1st.
Representatives from organisations including Alzheimer’s Society, Guildcare, Carers Support West Sussex and Age UK will be on hand between 10.00 am and 2.30 pm to answer questions about dementia and what support is available locally.
Worthing Town Cryers – a group of people who are living well with dementia – will also be giving a presentation in the Lecture Theatre between 1.00 pm and 1.45 pm.
There are around 1,970 people who are currently living with dementia in Worthing and that figure is set to increase as the population ages.
The Dementia Awareness Day is free to attend and no booking is necessary. Just pop along to Worthing Library in Richmond Road, Worthing on the day.
