Find out about how drink or drugs affects your driving

Do you know how drink or drugs affects your driving? Do you know how long it could take for alcohol to leave your bloodstream?

Expert Tony Aubrey will take questions from the public tomorrow from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm at a live web chat through the Sussex Police website.

Mr Aubrey, from the charity Druglink, will talk about the effect alcohol and drugs has on the body and the health implications of using them.

He will be joined by Sergeant Carl Knapp from the force’s roads policing unit, Roy Nightingale from South East Coast Ambulance Service and Justin Goodchild from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service who will each be able to talk about the experiences of members of the emergency services in dealing with drivers who have been drinking or taking drugs.

The web chat runs from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm tomorrow (Wednesday June 18th) and can be viewed at: www.sussex.police.uk/whats-happening/drink-or-drive-web-chat.

If you would like to ask a question in advance that can be answered during the web chat, email: stephanie.breeds@sussex.pnn.police.uk.
