Worthing & Adur Chamber of Commerce invite members on Friday February 28th to find out more about GSK’s major investment at their Worthing site over the next 18 months.
At an upcoming breakfast meeting chamber members will have the opportunity to better understand the GSK business and the proposed new investment.
The £100m investment will deliver a new production facility for the manufacture of the sterile, injectable form of Augmentin™, the main brand produced at the Worthing site.
The project is in the final design stage with planning permission due to be submitted very soon. It is anticipated there will an average of 150 jobs during the construction phase.
Members of the Site Leadership and Project Team will be in attendance to discuss the approach to the project and what opportunities this may lead to in the local economy.
Currently procurement strategy is being defined but opportunities for local business in the supply of materials, potential sub contract activity and accommodation for visiting project team members are likely to exist.
The breakfast is at GSK Southdownview Way, Worthing from 7.30 am to 9.00 am.
Cost is £5.00 for Members and £10.00 for Non-Members.
