Worthing residents who want to find out more about the proposal to introduce 20 mph limits in residential streets are invited to a number of drop-in sessions over the next few weeks.
West Sussex County Council officers host the drop-in events at the following venues and are inviting residents, businesses and community groups who might want to discuss the plans or find out more to pop along.
They will be held at:
- At St Paul’s Café on Friday May 9th – 9.00 am-11.00 am
- Tesco, Durrington, on Friday May 9th – 2.00 pm-4.00 pm
- Splashpoint Pool on Friday May 16th – 2.00 pm-4.00 pm
These sessions are in addition to the public information event at the Lecture Theatre at Worthing Library which is being held on Tuesday May 27th from 6.00 pm to 7.30pm.
Capacity at this venue is restricted and, as such, attendance is on a ticket only basis with tickets available at Worthing Library from Tuesday May 6th (tickets are limited to 2 per person).
Every property in Worthing has been sent a voting pack and householders have been asked to give their views on the proposed scheme, which could see a 20mph speed limit introduced in residential streets in the town.
