Food dumping mystifies Worthing Council

Adur & Worthing Council Services (AWCS) are mystified by the dumping of food waste in High Salvington woods and are asking for your help in resolving.

AWCS said: “This is a very odd case that we need your help with. Someone has been dumping food waste in the woods near the junction of Woodlands Avenue and Mill Lane in High Salvington. This latest incident took place on Sunday afternoon. We suspect that it is a well meaning person leaving food for animals rather than any malicious intent.

“However, this behaviour is making a lot of dog walkers uneasy for the food is often raw meat and there is the fear that it will make an animal extremely unwell. Have you seen anyone heading in that direction carrying bags of food or otherwise acting suspiciously?  Please let us know in strictest confidence so that we can stop it happening.”
