Goring man bailed over Broadwater van incident

 

The van driver involved in an incident in Charmandean Road, Broadwater, on Sunday May 11th was released on bail until June 24th while enquiries continue. 

The 27 year-old man from Goring-by-Sea  was arrested on suspicion of driving with alcohol above the prescribed limit, driving without due care and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Meanwhile the casualty, a 26 year-old man from Lancing, remains in a ‘critical but stable’ condition at Southampton General hospital. He suffered serious head injuries.

Police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to come forward.
