Worthing Borough Council were pleased to announce today (Friday August 15th) Homefield Park is open again. The Council thanks park users for their patience while was closed.
The closure followed flooding on July 28th when a month’s worth of rain fell in the space of an hour, overwhelming local drainage systems.
Extensive work has been carried out to clean the flood-affected areas in the park, with the playground, skate park and paths having all been disinfected.
As always, people using the park, particularly the grassed areas, are advised to wash their hands afterwards, especially before eating and drinking.
