The Connaught Theatre, Worthing presents Hotbed starring Jenny Eclair of Grumpy Old Women at 7.30 pm tonight (Friday February 27th).
Jenny Eclair was the first woman to win the coveted Perrier Award and hasn’t stopped banging on about it ever since. She still gigs regularly and you might recognize her from I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here, the Grumpy Old Women series, plus the Grumpy Guides, Grumpy Holidays and It’s Grim up North.
This show is part of Hotbed, supporting local comedians, singer-songwriters, performance poets and more as they strive to reach the big time, all compered by Mark Kelly, ‘unsung hero of alternative comedy’.
Support includes Emily Barden, singer-songwriter, Marion Sharville, comic poet and Liz Verlander, comic poet. Emily is currently gigging mainly as a solo acoustic artist and recently toured with Russell Watson (Choir MD and soprano for UK Tour) and worked as a backing vocalist for Francis Rossi (Solo European Tour and live DVD).
Tickets are £21.50.
The Connaught Theatre is at 3 Union Place, Worthing.
