Knifepoint robbery on Goring seafront

A 40 year old man was robbed at knifepoint on Goring seafront on Wednesday (May 29th) evening.   Police are appealing  for witnesses to the incident which happened in a seafront shelter at the bottom of Alinora Avenue between 6.00 and 7.30 pm.

The victim stopped in the shelter after walking along the seafront when three men approached and threatened him with a knife.  They stole his black Burberry Sports watch.  Two of the men spoke with what are described as East European accents.  All wore dark coloured tracksuits and one a woolly hat.

The victim was shocked but not injured.

Detective Constable Jennie Hutchinson said: “If you have information that could help us with our enquiries, then please call 101 quoting serial 1529 of May 29th, or leave an anonymous message with the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111”
