A Lancing man who went missing from Worthing Hospital on Wednesday morning (June 4th) is in danger of falling into a diabetic coma as he does not have essential medication with him.
Michael Roberts, 65, left the hospital for a cigarette at 7.30am and disappeared.
PC Lee Simmonds from the West Sussex missing persons team said: “We are very concerned for Michael’s health as he needs regular insulin and without it he could collapse. There is a possibility that he might be drawn towards premises with fruit machines and similar gaming devices as he does like to play these.
“He is white, 5′ 8”, of slim build, bald and with a tanned complexion. He wears glasses and was last seen wearing a blue chequered shirt, grey trousers, a grey/black overcoat and possibly a cap.
“As his medication wears off it is possible that the symptoms could be mistaken for someone who is drunk. If you have seen him, please call us on 101 quoting serial 494 of June 4th. However, if you see him now, please dial 999 so that he can get immediate medical attention.”
