Mobile phone robbery in North Street underpass

 

On Wednesday (April 10th) two young men took a mobile phone from a 19 year-old local woman after a brief struggle in which she fell to the ground.  The robbery took place around 2 pm in the North Street underpass.

The two men are described as white and between 17 and 20 years old.  One was 5’9″, of skinny build, with tanned skin, brown hair which is shorter on the side and longer on top, with a pierced left eyebrow.  He was wearing a light grey hooded top and beige chinos. The other suspect was 5’6″, of medium build, with blond/sandy coloured hair, and was wearing blue jeans and a white hooded top.

They ran back towards Lyndhurst Road leaving the victim on the ground where passers-by helped her.  She was badly shaken although not injured.
