Nine year-old boy hit by motorcycle in Romany Road

 

Police are appealing for witnesses to an accident between a motorcycle and a nine-year old boy in Romany Road, Worthing yesterday afternoon (April 1st). 

The collision took place at around 2 pm between a red Suzuki motorcycle and a local boy.

The boy suffering serious leg injuries and a slight head injury was taken to Southampton Hospital, where he remains.  The injuries are not considered life threatening.  The motorcycle rider, a 29 year-old man from Bognor Regis, taken to Worthing Hospital suffered a serious arm injury but has since been discharged.

Romany Road was closed until around 5 pm while officers investigated the incident.

Anyone with who witnessed the collision and hasn’t yet spoken to police is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 0676 of April 1st.
