Worthing Mayor Bob Smytherman celebrated his Mayoral year in style last night with a ‘Fish ‘n’ Chip’ supper at the Denton Lounge. Bob said it was just an amazing night.
Bob was joined by Mayoress Norah Fisher and naturally her assistance dog Herbie to a packed-out event which was much more inclusive than the usual Mayor’s Ball.
Splash FM’s Simon Osborne acted as compere with The Luvettes, Shenanigan, Jenna Hall, and the Regnate School of Performing Arts (RSOPA). Bob joined wholeheartedly in the fun including a rendition with RSOPA of ‘Our House’ by Madness.
Bob said: “Thank you so much to everyone who attended my Mayors Charity night last night and a special thanks to the Mayoress Norah Fisher & Herbie for being an amazing support for the last two years.
“And to Percy Nowell and all the charity team & volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the occasion so special. Big thanks to all the sponsors, caterers & theatre staff and all the performers who made the evening a true highlight of a special year – putting Worthing well and truly on the map which I look forward to continuing as the new Town Crier in June”
