Parents for Autism and the National Autistic Society host ‘An Evening with Wenn Lawson’ at Oak Grove College from 7.00 pm to 9.30 pm on Friday October 3rd.
Dr Wenn Lawson is a well known trainer, speaker and campaigner for the rights of people on the Autistic Spectrum, who currently lives in Australia.
Following years of missed diagnosis, Wenn was finally diagnosed 20 years ago with Autism. She returned to school and university to study psychology to become a psychologist. Wenn is also an artist, author and poet.
Wenn is a sessional lecturer at a number of universities, as well as being a tutor at the university of Birmingham for their distance education Autism masters program. She has researched and written many books on Autism. Wenn’s life experiences and personal insights provides parents and professionals with an invaluable gift as she shares her autistic understanding.
