A Passage to India at Connaught Studio

 

A Passage to India (PG) is showing at the Connaught Studio, Worthing as part of the ‘MADE IN 1985’ season at 1.30 pm on Sunday June 7th.

The last film directed by master film-maker David Lean (Dr Zhivago,Lawrence of Arabia). A bona-fide box office hit earning $26m but also a critical darling the film centres on the volatile relationship between British colonialists and the local Indian culture. Stars Judy DavisJames FoxAlec Guinness and Peggy Ashcroft. Now rarely seen, the film will be playing in 35mm original film format. 

The ‘MADE IN 1985’ season is a 30th Anniversary celebration of the best films of 1985. The season was only made possible by the sponsorship of the BFI and the Film Hub Southeast.
