Queen and Country at Connaught Cinema

Queen and Country (15) is the Silver Screen showing at the Connaught Cinema, Worthing at 11.00 am on Monday June 29th. Tea and coffee are served at 10.30 am with the film starting at 11.00 am.

Sequel to 1987’s Hope and Glory. Starring Richard E Grant and David Thwelis. The hilarious highlight of John Boorman’s Hope and Glory was 9-year-old Bill Rohan rejoicing in the destruction of his school by an errant Luftwaffe bomb. Queen and Country picks up the story nearly a decade later as Bill begins basic training in the early fifties, during the Korean War. Never getting near Korea, but instead engaging in a constant battle of wits with the snooty superiors.

Running time: 115 minutes.

Silver Screen is a diverse mixture of the best modern movies, foreign language films and vintage Hollywood cinema, screening every Monday morning.

All tickets are £4.00 including complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits.

The Connaught Cinema is at 3 Union Palace, Worthing.
