Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For (18) is showing at the Dome Cinema, Worthing from Friday August 29th to Thursday September 4th.
An A-list cast revisit the crime-infested streets of Frank Miller’s acclaimed graphic novels for more ultra-stylish hard-boiled tales. Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s long-gestating sequel to 2005’s stunning Sin City weaves together four more of Miller’s thrillingly noir-ish stories.
In the dark underbelly of this lawless metropolis, we catch up with some of the first film’s most memorable characters. These include grizzled cop John Hartigan (Bruce Willis), the battered and imposing Marv (Mickey Rourke), and exotic dancer Nancy Callahan (Jessica Alba). Once again, evil and corrupt Senator Roarke (Powers Boothe) is the primary villain. The interweaving stories also introduce us to the younger Dwight (Josh Brolin), before his facial reconstruction surgery. Newcomers to this seedy, violent urban cesspool include gambler Johnny (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and femme fatale Ava Lord (Eva Green).
Starring are Jessica Alba, Powers Boothe, Josh Brolin, Rosario Dawson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Eva Green, Dennis Haysbert, Stacy Keach, Jaime King, Ray Liotta, Jeremy Piven, Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Christopher Lloyd, Christopher Meloni, Juno Temple, Julia Garner, Jude Ciccolella and Lady Gaga.
Running time: 102 minutes.
