Local Worthing soul band The Soulsmiths play at The Royal Oak pub, 67 Brighton Road, Worthing from 8.30 pm tonight (Saturday June 28th).
The 7-piece band formed in 2011 play a mixture of soul classics and classics with soul! Think Blues Brothers crossed with the Commitments with a bit of Wilson Pickett, Aretha Franklin, Al Green and Dusty Springfield thrown in!
The band are Kelly O’Haire (female lead/backing vocals), Paul Southwood (male lead/backing vocals), Alice Elliot (sax/backing vocals), Stef (bass), John Jammy Dodger Herbert (guitar), Ruy Marcus (drums) and Micky Black (keyboard).
The Royal Oak said: “The Soulsmiths pack out our venue and really know how to get a crowd going. The play new songs every time and always leave them wanting.”
