Police today appealed for witnesses to a fight in South Street, Tarring late on Saturday night (March 2nd). Four boys fought at the junction with Ethelwulf Road just after 10 pm. People in two cars pulled up to intervene.
PC Caroline Bond said: “The four boys needed hospital treatment for cuts. We are appealing to the occupants of two cars to come forward – a silver car and a taxi. It was the occupants of the silver car who broke up the fight.
“I would urge these people, and any other witnesses, to contact us on 101 quoting serial 1538 2/3 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
The police arrested two boys, aged 15 and 17, for grievous bodily harm and bailed them until April 8th pending further enquiries.
