Tim Loughton MP is asking residents of East Worthing and Shoreham to nominate their favourite South Asian restaurant ahead of the national Tiffin Cup competition.
The Tiffin Cup, now in its 9th year, is an annual Parliamentary competition to find the best South Asian restaurant in the UK.
As the MP, Tim is asked to nominate one restaurant from his constituency, so if you would like your local to be in with a chance of winning, send him the name of the restaurant and a short piece about why you are nominating them. Nominations must be received by Tuesday July 14th. Tim will then decide which restaurant to put forward.
The competition was set up in 2006 as a way of celebrating the diversity of British culture and recognising the importance of South Asian cuisine in this county.
Last year, Rajah in Southwick came highly commended and was awarded a prestigious Tiffin Cup apron.
Commenting, Tim said: “If like me, you enjoy a good curry, make sure you give your local a chance of being recognised as the best in the country. If nothing else what better excuse to visit a few of your local tandoori restaurants to decide which one to nominate?”
