Brian Morgan, Principal Community Officer (Worthing), gives a presentation at the next Transition Town Worthing Daytime Group about the charity TimeBank.
TimeBank is a national volunteering charity who want to support everyone to find rewarding volunteering, whether you are an individual, a big corporation or a small business.
They are passionate about volunteering and believe that good quality volunteering can make a positive impact on our society.
They run their own volunteering projects which are designed to tackle social issues. They focus on mentoring and youth-led volunteering tackling big issues head on. From social exclusion to digital inclusion, they show the difference volunteers can make and use this to influence others – policy makers, charities and businesses
TimeBank wants to make volunteering part of the fabric of everyday life and a rewarding experience for everyone involved.
Their mission is to transform the volunteering experience. Their purpose is to enable outstanding volunteering experiences by utilising people’s skills to tackle social problems.
They believe that great volunteering can transform the lives of both volunteers and beneficiaries by building stronger, happier and more inclusive communities.
The meeting is at the St Paul’s Centre, Chapel Road, Worthing from 10.30 am to 12.15 pm on Wednesday July 9th.
