Willie Austen plays at the Rose & Crown Tavern, Worthing from 4.00 pm today (Sunday November 30th).
Local legend and crowd favourite Willie Austen is instantly recognisable by his trusty (if rather worn) Ovation 12-string guitar, which he uses to masterly-effect covering the very best of rock and blues from the 60s, 70s and 80s.
A superb guitarist, Willie’s earlier days were spent in his band Igneous Strata, supporting such luminaries as Fleetwood Mac and Genesis.
In the mid 90s Willie decided to go solo, gigging relentlessly in the Surrey and West Sussex area and building-up a well-deserved reputation as one of the finest on the circuit.
The Rose & Crown Tavern, 169-173 Montague Street, Worthing.
