Worthing drink-driver banned for 14 months

 

A Worthing man has been banned for 14 months after pleading guilty to drink driving in June.

Clive Sim, 44, was arrested at 4.25 am on June 15th after an off-duty officer saw him driving erratically and followed his car in Chester Avenue, Lancing, before detaining him.

Sim, of Ham Road, Worthing, pleaded guilty to drink-driving and driving with faulty seatbelts.  He was banned from driving for 14 months, fined £147 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

A total of 91 people have now been convicted of offences after being arrested in June as part of Operation Dragonfly, Sussex Police’s crackdown on drink and drug driving.
