The Year ,Bleed Again,We Are Tyrants and FurDown all play at Bar 42, Worthing from 7.45 pm tonight (Friday December 5th).
Mark Forty Two Knowles said: “The Year -The Year is a recently formed band made up of a hardened music outfit who have not only worked together but toured many countries in previous years. They may have only officially got together in the Summer of 2012 but all the systems and processes were in place a long time before then!
“They supported Architects in Lisbon back in the Summer and are pals with Ash Is A Robot hence the connection to Forty Two.
“Bleed Again – It’s not until you compare Bleed Again to other bands in their genre that you realise these guys from Worthing are heavyweights in their own right (that’s not an observation on size of drummer and vocalist. No!) They continue to get better and are regulars on the Brighton scene. I hope one day they get to play that gig of a lifetime. In the meantime, main support here to the awesome The Year will have to do.
“We Are Tyrants – The classic out-of-town band that you don’t come and see. I’ll tell you the next day how good they were and you’ll look at each other and say ‘Oh, maybe we shouldn’t have gone to Wetherspoons then.’ They will be right up there with the best metal bands you’ve seen here. I know this because of experience. They wouldn’t be coming from Nottingham for no reason other than they believe in themselves and what they are doing.
“Furdown – A five piece heavy metal/ nu-metal band from the Worthing/Brighton area, formed in 2012. Fusing heavy metal with rap, hip-hop, punk and funk.
“I have a soft spot for these chaps. I seem like a bit of rap metal and the vocals keep me interested throughout. A good start to an epic night so get here early.”
Free Entry – Over 18s only.
Bar 42 is at 42 Marine Parade on Worthing seafront.
